Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
People often ask how I became a photographer, but the truth is, I don't remember a time when photography wasn't part of my life.
Growing up, there was always a camera nearby. My Dad founded Leppert Photography in 1972, and while we didn't always have a studio, photography was simply part of our everyday life. I grew up surrounded by cameras, photographs, and conversations about light, composition, and storytelling.
Looking back, I realize I wasn't just learning photography—I was learning how important photographs become.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from The Ohio State University, and throughout my career I've continued to study with many of the industry's most respected photographers. Even after more than 30 years behind the camera, I still believe learning never ends.
While photography styles and trends come and go, my goal has never changed: to create timeless, beautifully crafted photographs that will be just as meaningful decades from now as they are today.
Beautiful photographs begin with genuine connection. I've said this throughout my entire career
The more comfortable you are with me, the less aware you are of me—and that's when the most meaningful moments naturally unfold.
That's why I spend time getting to know every client before I ever pick up my camera.
When you feel comfortable, you stop thinking about posing. You stop wondering where to look. You stop noticing the camera.
Instead, you're laughing with your family, celebrating with your friends, wiping away happy tears, and simply enjoying one of life's most meaningful moments.
Those authentic moments become the photographs you'll treasure forever.
Creating an exceptional experience is just as important to me as creating beautiful photographs. My hope is that by the time your wedding day or portrait session arrives, you'll feel like you're spending time with a trusted friend who just happens to have a camera.
Because when you're fully present, your photographs become genuine.
And genuine never goes out of style.
A CALM PRESENCE
One of the compliments that means the most to me comes after the ceremony.
Couples often smile and say,
"I didn't even realize you were taking pictures! Were you there the whole time?"
I always smile because I was there for every meaningful moment.
Years of experience have taught me when to gently guide people—and when to quietly step into the background.
Some of the most emotional moments happen when no one realizes they're being photographed.
That's exactly how I want your wedding day to feel.
Relaxed.
Joyful.
Authentic.
So you can be completely present with the people you love while I quietly preserve those memories for you.
As I look back now, I realize what a gift it was to grow up in a family where preserving memories was simply part of everyday life. Today, it's a privilege to carry that legacy forward and help other families preserve the moments they'll treasure for generations.
PHOTOGRAPHING LIFE'S MILESTONES
Although weddings will always hold a special place in my heart, my greatest passion has always been working with people.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of photographing people through every stage of life—from engagements and weddings to maternity sessions, newborns, children, families, high school seniors, business professionals, preschool and school portraits, little league teams, and community events.
One of the greatest joys of my career is seeing familiar faces return through the years. A wedding couple becomes a growing family. Children become high school seniors. Businesses grow and evolve.
Being invited back to document those milestones is one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive.
No matter the occasion, my goal is always the same:
To create timeless photographs while giving every client an experience they'll remember just as fondly as the images themselves.
My Team
One of the greatest blessings of my career has been the people I've had the opportunity to work alongside.
One member of my team has been by my side for more than 25 years, and that kind of loyalty means the world to me.
We share the same commitment to our clients, the same attention to detail, and the same belief that every person deserves an exceptional experience.
When you choose Leppert Photography, you're not simply hiring photographers.
You're choosing people who genuinely care—about each other, about our work, and most importantly, about the people we have the privilege of serving.
Working together for so many years allows us to move seamlessly throughout your day, creating a relaxed experience while quietly capturing the moments you'll treasure for a lifetime.
A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME
Outside of photography…
• I'm an identical twin.
• I've been married to my wonderful husband, Jimmy, for more than 20 years, and together we're raising our sweet daughter, Samantha.
• Home wouldn't be the same without our two spoiled four-legged companions, BeeBee and Mr. Tater Tot.
• I love staying active, enjoying long lunches with family and friends, and making memories with the people I love most.
• I also have a slightly unusual talent for remembering names and dates—and yes… it surprises people more often than you'd think!
THANK YOU
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Photography has given me the privilege of celebrating alongside so many wonderful people over the years, and I never take that trust for granted.
Some of the greatest compliments I receive have nothing to do with the photographs themselves.
It's hearing a couple say,
"You made us feel comfortable before you even picked up your camera."
Or hearing after the ceremony,
"I didn't even know you were photographing us."
To me, those words mean everything.
They tell me that I've created an experience where people could simply relax, be themselves, and enjoy one of the happiest days of their lives.
And that's when the most meaningful photographs are created.
One of my greatest joys is seeing familiar faces return through the years—from wedding days to newborn sessions, family portraits, senior pictures, and all the milestones in between.
To be invited back to document those memories is the greatest compliment I could ever receive.
It would truly be an honor to get to know you, tell your story, and create photographs that become part of your family's legacy.
I can't wait to meet you.
